Baby strollers differ from
prams in that they are lightweight, easier to carry, and the infant is generally
facing forwards rather than lying down. A stroller may also be called a buggy,
baby carriage or pushchair.
There are many strollers available for multiple infants and they come in a
variety of different configurations. Twin strollers are often a side-by-side
design. Some twin strollers are designed for babies of a similar age (ie.
twins) and some are for two infants of different ages. Triple strollers are
also available and are growing in popularity due to recent increases in multiple
births because of fertility treatments.
All baby twin strollers and triple strollers must adhere to the same safety
guidelines set out for single seat buggies.
